Hundreds of IATSE members, leaders and supporters gathered at Local 80 in Burbank on Saturday, Feb. 11 to become the first labor organization to officially endorse Congressman Adam Schiff for the US Senate. International President Matt Loeb was on hand to welcome Schiff. “Our decades of working with Congressman Schiff have given us direct evidence of his deep and abiding commitment and willingness to take on the issues that directly impact our members and their families,” Loeb said.

“He knows us, he knows our industry, and he knows what workers need. He’s a champion for justice. He’s a champion for democracy and he’s a champion for workers. Adam has been a true friend and a champion for the IATSE.  We will always lock arms and support those who fight for us and the challenges we face ahead.”

Schiff, a long-time friend of labor, thanked the crowd for the endorsement and said he will continue to stand with workers and unions and will work hard to represent California’s working families.
